UPCOMING MISSIONS TRIPS

atlanta

This is the perfect trip to start off your Christmas Holiday! We will head to Atlanta to work with a refugee resettlement organization. We will assist with their Christmas distribution and spend time with some refugee families. This trip will be approximately $250 and is open to ages 16+ or 12+ with a parent.

alaska

We will be working with Grace Works in Anchorage Alaska. Why Alaska? It has one of the most diverse neighborhoods in America. There are over 100 languages spoken in the Anchorage school district and in a couple block span you’ll find Sudanese refugees, Japanese fishermen, Mexican store owners, Hmong settlers, Dominican restaurateurs, and a Polynesian salon. At lunch, you'll feed hungry kids. In the afternoon you will work in local parks doing backyard bible school, games, and having fun building relationships with underserved children and youth. In the evenings you will help host neighborhood park parties. This trip will be approximately $1500 and is open to Middle School through adults. Under 14 will require a parent to attend.

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

The Dominican Republic is the second largest Caribbean nation by size and third by population. It is located on the island of Hispaniola with Haiti. Despite improvements in recent years, there is still significant poverty throughout the Dominican Republic. Large communities of Haitian people have moved to the Dominican Republic in hopes of a better life, but they have instead been met with challenges.

You can help share the love of Christ within the communities by serving on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic with Mission of Hope.  Our team will play a vital role in the ministry happening in the Dominican Republic by serving alongside the local churches and leaders to help meet the needs of the people in the communities. Trips include construction projects, medical care and clinics, evangelism, and other ministry opportunities, such as Vacation Bible School and sports camps.

This trip will cost approximately $1000 (ages 8-12) $1300 (12+) and is open to ages 8 and up. Under 16 will require a parent to attend.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations

Matthew 28:19

Our heart as a church is to participate in moments of grace. Our outreach projects and mission partners reflect that. From local to national to global, we are serving God's people and showing them the love of Jesus. You can keep up with local outreach events using our church calendar located below.

Mission Partners

Vapor Ministries

Vapor Ministries mobilizes the church to bring physical relief and spiritual transformation to people living in extreme poverty. Together we establish holistic ministry centers, run by indigenous leaders, that bring transformation to third-world environments.
At our centers in Kenya, Togo, and Haiti, we break cycles of poverty through quality education, clean water, agricultural development, and employment that creates economic growth in the community. We also form disciples that multiply and expand the reach of the church.

Trafficking Hope

Trafficking Hope is an organization of hopeful activists fighting the global problem of human trafficking one local solution at a time.

Rays Of Sonshine

The heart behind Rays of Sonshine is to spread the love of Jesus through providing a simple meal. Sometimes Individuals and families who have experienced life changes or are in the middle of a physical battle  just need a day to not worry about “what’s for dinner”...  frozen meals are delivered to homes in the Wiregrass. We all need someone to not only tell us they care, but to show us. It’s the small things that make a big difference- we are honored that the recipients allow for The Brown Initiative to be part of their day!
